Hirosaki Joto Gakuen Educational Corporation (hereafter referred to as “the University”) deeply recognizes the importance of personal information, and has established the following basic policy for the protection of personal information, and will make every effort to ensure that we are fully aware of the policy and that all personal information is protected.
1. The University shall comply with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information,” the “Act on the Use of Personal Information Number to Identify Specific Individuals in Administrative Procedures,” and other related laws and regulations (hereinafter referred to as “Laws and Regulations”).
2. The University will acquire personal information through legal and fair means. The University will not retain personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use, except when necessary for the performance of the University’s business operations and for specified purposes to the greatest extent possible.
3. Except as required by law, the university will not use personal information for purposes other than those indicated at the time of acquisition, nor will it provide personal information to any third party. The University will not provide personal information to any third party without prior consent of the individual, except as required by law.
4. The University will take necessary and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical measures to maintain the accuracy of personal information in its possession and to prevent its loss, destruction, alteration, or leakage.
5. The University will confirm that the individual has the right to request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of his/her own personal information, and will promptly respond to such requests in accordance with the regulations.
6. In order to implement this basic policy, the university has established the “Rules for the Protection of Personal Information of Hirosaki Joto Gakuen Educational Corporation” and requires all staff and other employees to comply with these rules.
7. The University will periodically review the operation of the Rules to ensure proper management of personal information, and will strive for continual improvement. In addition, when this basic policy is revised, it will be made public by an appropriate method.
