本学学生が弘前市、小比内町会と連携し、本学の近くにある豊田小学校の通学路の除排雪を行いました。記録的な大雪で道路や歩道の道幅が狭くなり、交通渋滞や視界不良が続いていましたが、今回の除排雪で緩和されたようです。町会からは、高齢化に伴い除排雪作業が可能な地域住民が減っており非常に助かったとのお言葉をいただきました。

Clearing Snow from Elementary School Route (University Collaboration Project in Hirosaki City Snow Control Measures)

In cooperation with the City of Hirosaki and the Sanpinai Town Council, our university students cleared snow from the school route of Toyoda Elementary School. The record snowfall had narrowed roads and sidewalks, causing traffic congestion and poor visibility, which was alleviated by this snow removal. The town council expressed that the project was extremely helpful as the number of residents capable of clearing snow from the streets has been decreasing due to the aging of the population.
